Who is Levi Diaz?

Levi Díaz was born 11 August 2008 and is from Cornellà de Llobregat in Spain. In July 2021, he won the sixth season of La Voz Kids, as part of team Melendi. He also won the first edition of La Voz de Cornellà in February 2019, in the youth category and additionally the audience award for most charismatic contestant.

How did he get selected

Spain does not hold a national final to select their song and artist. As such, Levi was internally selected by the Spanish broadcaster RTVE.

Tell us about the song!

Reír was written by David Roma. The song was revealed on 18 October 2021, along with a lyric video recorded in the streets of Madrid.

Díaz said about the song: “Laughing is very important. They call me the forever smiling kid and we want to share a message of joy.”

Spain at Junior Eurovision

Spain had participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest on six occasions since its debut in the inaugural 2003 contest. Spain won the 2004 contest with the song “Antes muerta que sencilla”, performed by María Isabel. Most recently in the 2020 contest, Soleá represented Spain with the song “Palante”, finishing in 3rd place.
