The Spanish cinema chain, Cinesa, will once again be broadcasting the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in cinemas for Spanish fans throughout the country.
Cinesa will announce the participating cinemas that will be showing the contest in the upcoming weeks. when those that can socially distance for COVID-19 reasons, have been identified.
This will be the fourth time that Cinesa will be showing a Eurovision event. The first time was in 2018 for the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon and in 2019 when they showed Junior Eurovision for the first time in cinemas.
Spain in Junior Eurovision
Spain is one of the 16 countries that first debuted in 2003 Junior Eurovision, where they finished second. Spain is one of the best scoring countries in Junior Eurovision, with 4 out of their 5 entries placing in the top 3, and even winning the contest in 2004, with María Isabel and her song Antes Muerta Que Sencilla. After 2006 Spain withdrew from the contest, and did not come back until 2019, where Melani Garcia finished 3rd with her song Marte.
