Ukraine to hold national final to #MoveTheWorld in Poland

UA:PBC, the Ukrainian national broadcaster has revealed their plans for the national final for Junior Eurovision 2020. 

For the third year in a row, the selection will be held online. The submissions will open on August 5 on and will close on the 25th of August. All songs will then be published on the same site. The Final will consist of 8 original songs, two cover songs and the final spot goes to the video with the most likes. 

from August 28 to September 4 The artists with cover songs will be given an original song, and the final line-up of the selection will be made.

The final stage is voting, this takes place between 5 and 8 September. The winner will be decided by a combination of online votes and a professional jury. The winner will be announced before September 12th.

Ukraine in Junior Eurovision

Ukraine first participated in Junior Eurovision 2006, and have participated every edition since, and hosted the contest in 2009 and 2013. When it comes to results, sisters Viktoria and Anastasiya Petryk take the crown. Viktoria got a second place in 2008 with her song Matrosy, and Anastasiya won the contest in 2012 with her song Nebo! Other notable entries are Sofia Tarasova’s We Are One which got 2nd place in 2013, and Darina Krasnovetska’s Say Love, which was one of the fan favourites, and ended up in 4th place.
