Nine years after she represented the island nation in Baku, Azerbaijan with “La La Love”, Cypriot singer Ivi Adamou could be considering a Eurovision return in the future, as she mentions in an interview with real.gr.
When asked if she would like to represent Cyprus again at Eurovision, or even sing for Greece, Ivi responded: “I wish, yes, it was a wonderful experience. I have been suggested several times. I think I will feel when the time is right. I want a very good song and a very strong band. Let’s see, good luck!”
This is not the first time since 2012 that Ivi Adamou’s name has been mentioned with Eurovision. In 2011, Ivi was approached to represent Greece in that years contest, but she declined in order to finish her studies. In October 2014, there were rumours that Ivi had been asked to represent Cyprus at the 2015 contest, but nothing came of these rumours. In November 2019, Ivi was rumoured to be a potential candidate for Cyprus at Eurovision 2020, before declining the offer due to family and personal reasons.
