Israel will not participate in Junior Eurovision 2021

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation (IPBC) has confirmed to Eurofestivales that Israel will not be participating in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021, due to take place in Paris on December 19th.

Yuval Fisher, Spokesperson for Israel in Junior Eurovision has said that Israeli broadcaster is prioritising Eurovision, and that they are putting all of their effort in to the adult contest instead.

This withdrawal from Junior Eurovision 2021 marks the third consecutive year that Israel will not be present in the contest. Their last participation was in 2018 when Noam Dadon finished in 14th place with the song “Children Like These”.

Israel made their Junior Eurovision debut in 2012 with the group Kids.il who sang their song “Let The Music Win”. After sitting out the next few contests, Israel returned to the contest in 2016. They withdrew again in 2017, returned in 2018 and then withdrew again in 2019.
