Lesley Roy appeared on morning show ‘Ireland:AM’ on Ireland’s Virgin Media One this weekend to discuss her Eurovision preparations. Appearing via video link from Stockholm, Lesley explained how she is busy rehearsing every day for next month’s performance in Rotterdam.
Pressed to reveal some details of her staging, Lesley remained tight-lipped, except to reveal some small teasers.
“It’ll be different — It’ll be different for Eurovision, it’ll be different for Ireland, it’ll be different for me. I will never have performed anything like this on stage before. I’m very excited.”
Later in the interview while discussing the unique circumstances of Eurovision 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic, Lesley dropped some additional teasers.
“It (Eurovision 2021) is going to be very, very different. It’s going to look different. And I think maybe some countries will be thinking about that in their performance. Maybe us too.”
Lesley shared a post on Instagram this week (see below) when she was reunited with her Maps co-writers Philip Strand and Emelie Eriksson in Stockholm.
