The moment has come! The Serbian 2021 hopefuls Hurricane have just premiered their long-expected song titled Loco Loco. The song was premiered alongside with the music video on the official Eurovision YouTube channel.
They came back with an uptempo banger again! They’ve kept it in Serbian, with a few words or rather phrases in Spanish and English so that the song could be more appealing to the European audience. The chorus is very catchy and memorable.
The video is directed by a popular director Dejan Milićević, with whom they’ve already collaborated in a few videos. It is very colorful, with the 80s inspired looks and an interesting choreography that could put the stage in Rotterdam on fire.
About the song
The music for their song was written by Nemanja Antonić and lyrics by the group member Sanja Vučić. They wrote the 2020 song Hasta La Vista as well. The song was produced by Darko Dimitrov, who has a good Eurovision reputation since he co-wrote North Macedonian 2019 entry Proud by Tamara Todevska. She managed to win the jury vote and take a spot in the Grand Final. So far, this is the best result for North Macedonia.
Nemanja Antonić earlier said for RTS, the Serbian national broadcaster, that they tried to write not only a Eurovision song, but a song that is club and radio-friendly ready to burn radio-stations all over Europe. This time they focused mainly on singing and dancing in order to fulfil the expectations of both juries and audience. Their goal was to make an even better song and a bigger hit than Hasta La Vista.
However, they kept the Hasta La Vista formula: the title in Spanish, lyrics in Serbian, a little bit of English, and a mixture of both modern and traditional sounds.
The Serbian girls are going to perform in the first half of the second semi final on May 20th. So far, most of the songs aren’t released so it’s hard to predict their final score. Overall, we hope for the strong competition and for the best result for Serbia in many years.
