
Netherland’s Eurovision 2016 representative Douwe Bob has released his latest single Hold On. The song marks the third song release from the artist in 2020; following the release of other songs including Until Then and What a Wonderful World.
The song delves into the topic of bullying and Douwe wrote the song personally for parents whose children are experiencing bullying. Hold on is a slow tempo ballad with a distinct country sound, the genre Douwe has become best known for throughout his career. To celebrate the release of Hold On, Douwe held an intimate concert for one fan and her family in Leidse Schouwburg.
Douwe Bob is a singer-songwriter from the Netherlands specialising in folk and country. Douwe rose to fame after winning ‘De beste singer-songwriter van Nederland’ in 2012 with the release of his first single Multicoloured Angels. He has experienced great success in his home country with the release of 4 album including two which peaked at number one of the Dutch charts. Eurovision fans will best know Douwe for representing the Netherlands at Eurovision 2016 with the song Slow down which finished 11th in the grand final. Since representing the Netherlands, Douwe has continued to release music and tour the Netherlands, and even appeared as coach on The Voice Kids in 2017.
