Novynarnia have reported that the lead singer of Ukrainian band Go_A, Kateryna Pavlenko, has won the “Millenium Woman” award in Ukraine. She was given the award on May 27th from Ruslan Stefanchuk, The Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada (Supreme Council of Ukraine), which is the unicameral parliament of Ukraine.
Ruslan thanked Kateryna for representing Ukraine at Eurovision, alongside her Go_A band members, for her patriotism, and for sharing (and popularising) Ukrainian culture to the rest of the world.
"She has fulfilled an important and original mission in our hearts, to unite. The motives of modern dance beats, charming ethnic vocals and powerful guitar drive were intertwined in the song itself. The whole family watched the performance of the band Go_A at Eurovision and this music called us to unite, both the younger and older generations danced."

Ruslan adds: “Kateryna Pavlenko’s victory proves that the only thing we can compete with each other is who loves and does more for Ukraine. I am sure that for such a talented performer and a true patriot of her homeland, participation in Eurovision is just the beginning of a great book.”
Kateryna, along with her band members, bought Ukraine back into the top 5 for the first time since 2016. With their song “Shum”, they finished in 2nd place with the televoters and 9th place with the juries, giving them a 5th place finish overall.
We would like to send a big congratulations to Kateryna for winning this award!
