After announcing their debut in Junior Eurovision 2020 back in July, Germany have now announced that they will be broadcasting two shows that will focus on the auditions for Junior Eurovision.
The German broadcaster responsible for their participation in Junior Eurovision, KiKA, have announced that they will be broadcasting two shows under the motto “Your Song For Warsaw”. The two shows will focus on the auditions for the contest, and will be broadcast on September 1st and 2nd.
Many kids and teenagers between the ages of 9 and 14 have applied to KiKA in the hopes of becoming Germany’s first ever Junior Eurovision representative, but only five of them will be performing in the first show in front of a panel of jurors.

Germany was initially planning to participate in the first Junior Eurovision Song Contest back in 2003, and again in 2004, but the ended up withdrawing. Fast forward ten years to 2013 and Germany was invited to observe that years contest in Kiev, as well as the contest in 2014 and 2019.
