Gaia Gambuzza to sing “Diamonds In The Skies” for Malta at Junior Eurovision 2022

Gaia Gambuzza will represent Malta in Junior Eurovision 2022 with her song "Diamonds In The Skies".

Gaia was crowned the winner of Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest (MJESC) earlier this evening. She beat off 15 other acts to become Malta’s newest Junior Eurovision representative. The winner of the show was decided by 75% jury vote and 25% televoting. 

Andrea Camilleri finished in second place with “Sparks” whilst Emma Kate Formosa was in third place with “Bounce”.

The show saw former Maltese Junior Eurovision representatives performing – Gianluca Cillia (2017); Eliana Gomez Blanco (2019) and Ike and Kaya from 2021.

Malta’s last Junior Eurovision participation in 2021 saw rapper Ike and singer Kaya perform “My Home” at La Seine Musicale in Paris. They finished in 12th place with 97 points.
