The "King of DJs," Gabry Ponte talks about "Tutta l'Italia" and what to expect from his upcoming Eurovision performance.
“Tutta l’Italia,” was never expected to hit the Eurovision circuit. Gabry Ponte presented the song to Carlo Conti, the host and artistic director for Sanremo 2025, who then chose it as the acronym and jingle of the music festival. Now, having triumphed with the piece at the San Marino Song Contest, he will be representing them and the Republic of Monte Titano in this year’s Eurovision.
With a career spanning over three decades, the Italian musician, DJ and producer, started as a member of Eiffel 65. Ponte performed “Tutta l’Italia” on the San Marino stage with the two vocalists for the track, who were masked and still remain anonymous, along with four dancers, two musicians, and his entire DJ setup.
In regards to his Eurovision performance, Ponte stated, “It will be different. There are limitations on the number of people to take to the stage, at most six. We decided to change almost everything we’ve seen in recent weeks.”
The mysterious vocalists will choose whether they will remove their masks or not. As the DJ states in an interview with “Sorrisi e Canzoni TV” there are many artists who want to sing but prefer not to put a face to their voice.
You can catch the performance of “Tutta l’Italia” in the second half of semi final one for Eurovision 2025 on May 13th. Ponte is reprepresenting San Marino after the Spanish band Megara in 2024, Piqued Jacks in 2024, and Achille Lauro in 2023, all failing to qualify for the finals.
