The 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest was held on November 29th in Warsaw, Poland. As we know the winner of that night was France with Valentina and her song “J’imagine” which turned out to be France’s first victory in a Eurovision event in 43 years. Last winner was in 1977 when Marie Myriam won the Eurovision Song Contest with “L’oiseau Et L’enfant”.
In an interview the day after victory, Alexandra Redde-Amiel, head of the French delegation and director of entertainment for France Télévisions revealed that they would like to host the show.
"We are of course eager to host Junior Eurovision in France next year. Delphine Ernotte (the president of France Télévisions) along with Stéphane Sitbon-Gomez (director of the branches of France Télévisions) would really like so. We will first relish and then chat with the Eurovision presidency and the EBU in order to find out how we can organize the 2021 edition and if it will be possible to do so. We have to speak with them before formalizing anything, but in any case, the wish is there".
