The first batch of artists coming to Liverpool to perform at the Big Eurovision Welcome, the outdoor event on 7th May opening the Eurovision week, has been announced.
Many familiar faces are set to perform at the event, where a crowd of about 30.000 people is expected to attend.
A night of music...
Conchita Wurst, winner of the 2014 Eurovision for Austria with the song Rise Like a Phoenix, and Jamala, 2016 winner for Ukraine with 1944, will be on stage.
Representing the diverse Liverpudlian music scene, the indie-pop group The Lightning Seeds, the girlband Atomic Kitten, and the soul ensemble The Real Thing.
On the same night, the Liverpool natives Frankie Goes to Hollywood will reunite on stage to perform their ‘80s worldwide hits, Relax and The Power of Love.

The show won’t be only about music, but a 360 degrees night of entertainment.
Host AJ Odudu will be supported in her duties by the comedian Joel Dommet, while Liverpool actor Ricky Tomlinson, television personality Shirley Ballas and Drag Race UK winner The Vivienne will make appearances during the night.
