Eurovision 2021 day 4: Georgia first rehearsal: Tornike “You”

May 11, 2021

Tornike is the first act to take to the stage for his first rehearsal on Eurovision 2021 day 4, and he has taken to the stage alone. Tornike’s performance sees him, in a white shirt and black trousers, walking towards the front of the stage, with just a spotlight on him, whist the rest of the stage is rather dark.

The staging for “You” is very simple and stripped back, allowing for the focus to be on Tornike and his great vocals. The backdrop is made up of dark colours, and graphics of clouds, which remain for most of the performance. Towards the end of the song, as it starts to build, we see some red lights making an appearance on the backdrop. We also see some text coming up on the backdrop, both in English and Georgian.

The simplicity of the staging allows for the focus to be on Tornike and his great vocals, and highlights him as a great performer. He delivered a very strong vocal and looked very comfortable up on stage.
