Ukrainian singer and former Eurovision winner Jamala will perform '1944' at Germany's 'Germany 12 Points' and Romania's 'Selecția Națională 2022'.
This comes a few days after Jamala had to flee Kyiv with her children due to Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine. Earlier this week, she spoke to Turkish television about the situation in Ukraine.
Germany’s national final ‘Germany 12 Points’ will take place on Friday 4th March and see 6 artists compete for Germany’s ticket to Eurovision. The show’s start time has been moved back at 9pm CET to make way for a charity show to support Ukraine.
Romania’s ‘Selecţia Naţională 2022′ will take place on Saturday 5th March, where 10 artists will compete for Romania’s spot at Eurovision. Romanian broadcaster TVR had previously announced several interval acts for the final, with this year’s Eurovision acts from Albania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Moldova, Montenegro and North Macedonia all performing.
