It has been confirmed that a total of seven acts will compete in ESCZ, the Czech Republic’s national final for Eurovision 2022. These seven acts will be revealed in a press conference due to be taking place at 13:00 CET on December 6th.

The producers for this years show have said that the line-up is very diverse, with the songs ranging from “artsy ballads to very hard guitars, with everything in between”. They go on to mention that the line-up this year consists of more women than men (with a ratio of 4:5 to 2:5).

All of the seven acts have recorded live-on-tape performances, similar to what was done for Eurovision 2021 in Rotterdam. The producers explain the reason behind this is “so you will have much more realistic material for your decision making than ever before in ESCZ.”

The winner of ESCZ will be decided by a mix of jury voting (50%) and public voting. Votes can be cast via the Eurovision App or via the ESCZ website. 25% of the public voting will come from international fans with the other 25% coming from Czech fans. The voting window will open on December 6th and will close on December 15th, with the winner being announced on the 16th.
