Efendi, who will represent Azerbaijan at the 2o21 Eurovision Song Contest, has had her entry chosen internally by broadcaster İTV, Azerbaijani Eurovision media reports. It is expected that we will hear the song in early March, similar to the release of her 2020 entry Cleopatra.

Who is Efendi?
Samira Efendiyeva, better known by mononym Efendi, is an Azerbaijani singer from Baku. She has competed in the Kazakhstani song competitions Silky Way Star and the Voice of Nur-Sultan representing Azerbaijan multiple times.
In February 2020, Azerbaijani broadcaster İTV announced that Efendi had been internally selected to represent Azerbaijan at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest with Cleopatra. In March, the contest was cancelled due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, and Efendi was internally selected by İTV one again to represent Azerbaijan in 2021.
