Her name is Yekaterina Petrovna Zamolodchikova. But you can call her Katya!
Katya, one of the most loved drag queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race, has released her new song Ding Dong. And it has a link with the Eurovision Song Contest.
The song, from her debut EP, Vampire Fitness, is inspired by 2009 Ukrainian Eurovision entry Svetlana Loboda’s recent song Boom Boom. In an interview, Katya spoke about her love for Loboda’s song:
“I’ve been obsessed with the music video since the moment it premiered and immediately wanted to do a parody/homage in the style of UNHhhh. The result is a kind of Eurovision nightmare dance party in Hell, and I love it.”
Check out the video below, which also stars fellow Drag Race alum, Trixie Mattel!
