Dolly Parton works 9-5 reacting to a cover from a former Eurovision act!

Dolly Parton, the famous American country singer, did a reaction video for the Youtube channel “Glamour”. She reacted to her own songs covered by fans, involving hits such as “9 to 5”, “I Will Always Love You” & “Hard Candy Christmas”. In addition to that, one of her famous songs “Jolene” has been covered by OG3NE, the Dutch trio who represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017, hosted in Kyiv. As expected, the former Eurovision representatives did an amazing cover of Parton’s song, using their famous harmonies they showcased at the contest. Dolly Parton’s reaction was very positive and excited, and you can see her reaction starting at minute 8:25!

OG3NE represented The Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine. With the very personal power ballad “Lights and Shadows”, dealing with the death of their mother, the three sisters Lisa, Amy & Shelley Vol achieved a respectable 11th place with 150 points. They have already got attention and praise for their impressive harmonies. While being in quarantine due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they released the cover “Jolene” from Dolly Parton. Seemingly, the song “Jolene” by Dolly Parton is a very popular song for singers to cover in the Netherlands. Ilse DeLange, one of the most famous Dutch singers in the country, also made a cover of the song and even released it as a single. She did a colloboration with the German Country Band “The BossHoss” in 2015. Ilse DeLange represented The Netherlands in 2014 as part of the band “The Common Linnets” with the song “Calm After The Storm”. Together with the Dutch singer Waylon, they achieved an amazing 2nd place finish with 238 points, only got defeated by Austrian queen Conchita Wurst. After the Eurovision success, they have had a great accomplishment in the music industry, entering dozens of European music charts and radio appearances.
