Dino Merlin teams up with Senidah for new song “Dođi”

Dino Merlin has released his new single on the last day of 2020. The Bosnian singer and songwriter colloborated with the singer Senidah. The song is called Dođi (English: Come) and has been written by Dino Merlin himself. The song has, just like Merlin’s other songs, an amazing Balkan influence. The music video is almost 5 minutes long, and has reached over 2,000,000 views in just two days. Even for Dino Merlin, who is one of the most successful artists in the Balkan region, and who has almost half a million YouTube subscribers, this is an exceptional debut.

Dino Merlin has been a very successful participant at the Eurovision Song Contest. Firstly, he represented his country Bosnia & Herzegovina together with French singer Beatrice in 1999 in Jerusalem with the song Putnici, reaching a very respectable 7th place. In 2011, he represented his country once again, this time as a solo act in Düsseldorf. With the song Love in Rewind, he again finished very high, with 125 points and a 6th place, making him one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s best scoring Eurovision representatives.

Bosnia & Herzegovina have participated 19 times in total at the Eurovision Song Contest so far. As a former part of Yugoslavia, it has participated 27 times before. Their debut as an independent country was in 1993 with the song Sva bol svijeta by Fazla. In 2006, the Balkan country came 3rd with the song Lejla by the band Hari Mata Hari, which is their best result so far. Bosnia and Herzegovina has been absent from the contest since 2017 due to financial issues.
