2016 Eurovision runner up Dami Im has shared images of an attack by a dog, whilst she was out for a morning walk.
In the Instagram post she stated:
“I was on my morning walk minding my own business and this dog jumped on me out of the blue and the owner walked away without checking if I was ok, even though you could see my pants had ripped and I was sobbing on the ground out of pain and shock.”
A friend who Dami described as her angel, came to her aid, and took her to a GP for treatment.
Dami went on to say:
“I love dogs but if you can’t manage them it’s your fault if they attack people on the street… what a morning.”

Back in 2016, Dami took Europe by storm, charging all the way to 2nd place in the Eurovision Song Contest with her song Sound Of Silence. This has been Australia’s best result to date.
In 2020 she set tongues wagging when she announced her intention to compete in Eurovision – Australia Decides in 2021. With the cancellation of Eurovision 2020, and decision by SBS to send Montaigne to Rotterdam in 2021, it remains to be seen what Dami will do in the future.
