After a meeting with the board of directors at the Cypriot broadcaster CYBC, it has been announced that we will have confirmation of who they will be sending to represent Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest on November 25th. CYBC have already announced the artistic director for their 2021 entry, and it happens to be Austrian Martin Deimann, the very man behind Austria’s winning entrant in 2014, Conchita Wurst, and also Austria’s 2018 entrant Cesár Sampson who finished 3rd in the Grand Final.
In June of this year we had confirmation that Cyprus’ Eurovision 2020 entrant will not be representing the country in the song contest in 2021. Sandro was due to represent Cyprus in Rotterdam this year with Running, although due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic the contest was cancelled.
Below you can watch Cyprus’ Eurovision 2020 entry, Running by Sandro!
