Dora returns to search for Albina's successor.

The search for the next Croatian representative is on as broadcaster Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) confirms the Balkan nation’s participation to Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Italy.

Furthermore, HRT also confirmed on Monday through Facebook the return of its Dora pop festival to search for Albina’s successor and bring the country back to the Eurovision final.

HRT posted on Facebook that preparations for Dora is in full swing:

“The beautiful September weather only contributes to the preparations for Dora and the Eurosong 2022, which are in full swing!”

Further details for Dora are to be announced soon.

Hence, Croatia is the 30th country to confirm participation to the 66th edition of Eurovision to be hosted in the Mediterranean country of Italy, following its victory in Rotterdam in 2021 with the band Måneskin and their hard rock song Zitti e buoni.

In 2021, Croatian representative Albina with her dance track Tick-Tock failed to qualify to the Eurovision grand final after ending in 11th place in the first semi-final with 110 points, just 5 points short behind Norway’s Tix and his song Fallen Angel.
