We don’t know the host city, not even the country Eurovision will be held in, but we have the first confirmation of a participating country in Eurovision 2024 and it is.. (drumroll please) …Luxembourg!
The small Country is set to come back after 30 years since its last participation in the contest, and 40 years after the last win.
Despite the long hiatus, the country is among the most successful in the history of the contest with 5 wins, the same amount (before the 2023 grand final) as France, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Better than them there’s only Sweden, with 6 wins, and Ireland, which has 7.

The much-awaited news has been given by RTL Luxembourg first, to which Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest Martin Österdahl promptly commented:
“We are thrilled to welcome back Luxembourg to the Eurovision Song Contest after 30 years. The country has one of the most successful records in the Contest with 5 wins in the first three decades of the competition alone. We very much look forward to working with RTL on their return to the world’s biggest live music event in 2024.”
Many details, such as the candidate selection process, will be announced in the next few months, and we already can’t wait to see them back on stage!
