“Best Friends” Unity will sing for The Netherlands at Junior Eurovision 2020

| September 26, 2020

The Netherlands have spoken! It’s Unity to Junior Eurovision 2020 with their song “Best Friends”.

The Netherlands held a live national final in which we saw three acts battling it out to become The Netherland’s representatives at Junior Eurovision 2020. Originally, there were supposed to be four acts competing, but Robin had to withdraw due to testing positive for COVID-19. Demi from winning group Unity also had to withdraw for the same reason, but it is likely that she will rejoin the group for Junior Eurovision.

The winner was decided by a mix of jury vote and online vote. The children’s jury gave 12 points to Jackie and Janae, 10 points to Unity and 9 points to T-Square. The professional jury gave 12 to Unity, 10 to T-Square and 9 to Jackie and Janae. The online vote put Unity as their winner with 12 points, whilst T-Square got 10 points and Jackie and Janae getting the 9.
