The EBU have tonight posted a statement regarding Belarus’ participation in the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest. Earlier this month, Belarus announced Galasy ZMesta as their 2021 representatives with the song Ya Nauchu Tebya (I’ll Teach You). Just days after it’s release, the EBU disqualified the song from the contest due to the political nature, and Belarus were given a second chance to submit a song that did not breach the terms of submission.
Tonight, it was announced that Belarus had submitted another song to the EBU for their Eurovision 2021 entry but this too breached the submission terms and values of the contest, and consequently Belarus would not be taking part in the 2021 contest in Rotterdam as a result of this.
