With just a few days until the 2022 contest, the BBC have revealed their Junior Eurovision programming ahead of the final on December 11th.
In the run up to The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 on December 11th, CBBC will be airing programmes dedicated to this years contest.
On Thursday 8th at 13:05 GMT, and again on Friday, 9th at 17:30 GMT, Junior Eurovision – Freya’s Journey will be aired on CBBC. The programme will follow Freya’s Junior Eurovision journey to Yerevan, Armenia.
There will also be special Newsround reports live from Yerevan, and a live interview with Freya on Blue Peter on CBBC.
The British commentators for Junior Eurovision 2022, HRVY and Lauren Layfield, will be live at CBBC HQ throughout Friday afternoon, where they will be providing viewers with information on the contest, and explaining how they can vote.
Director of BBC Children’s & Education, Patricia Hidalgo, encourages everyone to enjoy the show, and to get involved: “CBBC will be bringing all the excitement of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest to our young viewers as we build up to the competition this weekend. The simulcast of the live show on the channel, along with BBC One and iPlayer, also gives viewers of any age the chance to enjoy the show and get involved. We’d like to encourage everyone to register for a BBC account now so they can vote as soon as the window opens this Friday.”
