Time to add another song to the Junior Eurovision 2020 playlist! Spain has released today the song that Soleá will sing next November at the competition: Palante. An urban pop song with a very modern sound and a message of optimism.
We already heard it in the preview… The rhythm fills Spain’s entry in Junior Eurovision this year! Palante is a catchy song that has several musical influences and sends an encouraging message to the world in the face of the global crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The song has been published exclusively on RTVE’s YouTube channel along with its official video. The video shows Soleá dancing around some iconic places in her hometown, Seville. A video full of energy that becomes a wonderful letter of introduction for Soleá to Europe. The song will be available on digital platforms starting tomorrow and the video will also be published on the Junior Eurovision channel soon.
Spain is one of the most successful countries in Junior Eurovision history. With five participations, their record is brilliant: One winning song (2004), two runners-up (2003 and 2005), one third place (2019) and one fourth place (2006).
After years of absence, Spain returned to Junior Eurovision last year with Melani García and the song Marte, which achieved a third place. In addition, she gave us great moments in Poland such as the interview with Clara.
What do you think about Palante? Will Solea manage to match the mark of her predecessors? Could she win Junior Eurovision 2020? Let us know in the comments below!
