Marina Satti will fly the Greek flag at Eurovision 2024 in Malmö.

Greek broadcaster ERT has confirmed that singer-songwriter Marina Satti will represent the Mediterranean nation at next years Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden, which marks Greece’s 50th anniversary of their first Eurovision participation in 1974.

The song that Marina will sing at Eurovision 2024 has not yet been chosen. ERT, Marina’s record label Golden Records, Minos EMI (a Universal Music Company) and Marina herself are welcoming potential submissions from 25th October until December 1st via email at: eurovision2024@ert.gr.

Who is Marina Satti?

Marina Satti is a Sudanese Arab – Greek singer songwriter from Athens. She has previously studied monody, classical studies and Jazz, in Greece and the United States, and later went on to form part of the EBU’s European Jazz Orchestra.

In 2016, Marina founded Fonés (“Voices”), a female a cappella group performing traditional polyphonic songs. Later that year, she went on to release her first solo song “Koupes” (“Cups”), which has now ammased over 27 million views on YouTube. Her most recent song is TUCUTUM, released earlier this year.

In May 2022, Marina went on to release her debut album, YENNA (Birth) that was met with a great commercial and critical reception. This album release was followed by a four month European tour.

For a ninth year running, the Greek broadcaster has opted to go ahead with an internal selection to find their Eurovision representative. Earlier this year, 16 year old Victor Vernicos was chosen to sing his song “What They Say” at Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool. He finished in 13th place with 14 points in semi final 2.
