María Isabel, a successful career after Eurovision Junior

Seventeen years after her Junior Eurovision victory, María Isabel is now 26 years old and that lovely and smiling girl who raised the trophy in Lillehammer is today a very talented and hardworking woman.

Her success after Junior Eurovision made her to record albums, movies and participate in numerous television shows. In 2010, the artist decided to pause her musical career to finish her studies. A few years later, the Andalusian artist returned to the stage and she tried to represent Spain in Eurovision 2016 with the song “La vida sólo es una”, finishing fourth in the national final. Now, she was in one of the key years for her music career after signing a contract with the Roster Music company.

She published new songs with this company in 2019, “Tu Mirada”, of urban pop genre, and “Flamenkita”, which fuses reggaetón, urban pop and flamenco influences. Before the pandemic restrictions, the artist travelled to Miami where she was working with major producers and recorded two new songs: “Dos de la Tarde”, which again fuses reggaeton sounds with Latin pop, and “Sentir cosquillas”, in which she shows the fusion of trap, flamenco, hip-hop and reggaeton.

Last summer, María Isabel published the song “Esa Carita” together with the Spanish hitmaker Juan Magán, being a success in the Spanish radios. María Isabel also participated in a popular television program in Spain for solidarity purposes, donating the money from her prizes to the Protective Association of Animals and Plants from Ayamonte, her hometown.

Now, María Isabel must stop her musical career due to her health problems. From the Eurovoxx team we wish her the best support and we thank her for her courage in making visible the importance of her mental health. We won’t lost our hope to see her back on stages.
