Didrik reached out to his fans on facebook following the release of Det Skal Bli Jul.

"Now you can hear my very first Christmas album. 10 songs that are personal to me in their own way. Some self-written and others you may know from before. The journey with this album has been able to offer joy, sorrow, longing, unity, warmth and nostalgia. I hope you guys want to bring some soundtracks from me into a Christmas that might be a little extra special this year. And no matter how canceled and hopeless everything feels; It's going to be Christmas. I also want to thank everyone who has contributed to this album becoming something I am extremely proud of"
