According to Marriv, a Hebrew-language daily newspaper, the sixteen songs that will be a part of Eden Alene’s national final for Eurovision 2021, will be revealed in November, which will make them one of the first countries to reveal their songs for the 2021 national final season.
All sixteen songs that will be performed in the national final will be made available to the public in November, where people can vote for their favourite songs online. The eight songs with the most votes will go on to the live semi finals, with four songs competing in each heat. All of the songs in the semi finals will be performed by songwriters and other Israeli singers, with Eden only performing in the final.
The songs submissions was opened this week by Israeli broadcaster KAN, and was due to stay open for all interested songwriters until October 5th. But, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and a second lockdown in Israel, it has been extended until October 15th.
Eden Alene was Israel’s representative for Eurovision 2020 with the song “Feker Lebi”. After the cancellation of this years contest, the Israeli broadcaster confirmed that Eden Alene would be returning to Eurovision 2021 in Rotterdam.
