Junior Eurovision has a new artist! It has just been announced that the 14 year old singer Petar Aničić will be representing Serbia in the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Warsaw this November. It has also been announced that he will be singing the love ballad Heartbeart in this year’s competition. The song was chosen by a panel of juries selecting from a field of submissions. Petar will be Serbia’s first male artist to represent the country since their debut in 2006. The song will be released at a later date.
Petar Aničić was born in 2006 and has been making music since the age of 4. At the age of 7 he composed his first music piece called I Run Fast. Whilst in education he also had the opportunity in performing in local competitions, in which he won several awards.

Serbia debuted in Junior Eurovision in 2006, where their song Učimo strane jezike gave them a respectable placing of 5th with 81 points. Since then, their best placing came in the following year with Nevena Božović’s Piši mi and in 2010 with Sonja Škorić’s Čarobna noć, where they both came in 3rd place. Last year, they were represented by Darija Vračević, where she sang Podigni glas (Raise Your Voice), where she came a respectable 10th place with 109 points in Gliwice, Poland.
