The Swiss representatives from 2017, Timebelle, have released their new Single “Rapido”. As the title already suggests, Rapido is a Spanish song with Latin vibes. The song will feature the singer Alejandro Reyes, who came 2nd in the Swiss national selection in 2018 with the song “Compass”. The song has been published together with a music video.
The music video was filmed at the Hotel Belvedere, on the banks of lake Thun in Switzerland. It features the members of Timebelle and Alejandro Rayes, alongside actor Matteo Wasecha and Miss Bern 2019, Alicia Shubach.
Emanuel Daniel Andriescu of Timebelle has said that “We discovered Latin pop and Timebelle are the perfect match. Our goal is to create music that gives joy, and latin pop already includes this feeling in it’s rythym.”
Timebelle represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv with the song “Alpollo”. Despite being one of the fan favourites, it only finished 12th in the second semifinal with 97 points, missing the qualification by only 4 points. Nevertheless, the Swiss band has released several singles throughout the years such as “Heartache” and “Black Sea”. With the song “Tocame”, they have collaborated with former Eurovision artists, in this case Sunstroke Project, who represented Moldova twice, in 2010 & 2017.
