The list of participants for Junior Eurovision 2020 continues to grow! Today it was the turn of Spain, which has announced its singer for the competition: Soleá. The secret has been revealed unexpectedly in a morning program on Spanish public television.

Soleá was born in Seville in 2011 (9 years old) and belongs to a famous family of Spanish flamenco artists: “Los Farrucos”. Her family has brought their artistic qualities to stages around the world for decades, now it is Soléa’s turn, reaching European homes through the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

The 9 year old is a multidisciplinary artist: She sings, dances and interprets. Her musical tastes range from pop to soul, through flamenco. Her favorite singers are Christina Aguilera, Aitana, Alejandro Sanz, Whitney Houston, Niña Pastori, Parrita and José ‘El Francés’.

We still don’t know anything about the song that Soleá will sing at Junior Eurovision. Spain is already working on the song and the young singer anticipates that it will be very funny.

The singer has been very excited and happy during the announcement and has received the support of Melani, her successor in Junior Eurovision.

"Representing Spain in Junior Eurovision is everything for me, it is fulfilling a dream. It's incredible because being on stage in front of a 'million' people is a dream come true"

Despite her youth, Soleá has a lot of experience on stage. From a very young age, Soleá showed faculties for singing, dancing and interpretation. In 2014, when she was only 3 years old, she made her debut as a singer at La Maestranza in Seville, during a family show “Farruquito y familia”.

In 2015, she was the star of the Christmas family show where she made her debut as an actress and dancer at the Quintero Theater in Seville. In 2016, she starred in another Christmas show that took her on a tour of some of the best theaters in the country, such as the Apolo Theater (Barcelona) and the Rialto Theater (Madrid).

In 2019, she was one of the special guests at Ketama’s concert at the Cartuja Center in Seville. During Christmas of that year, the girl took part in the show “La zambombá flamenca”, with which she toured Spain and shared the stage with great Spanish artists. At the beginning of 2020, she participated in the last album of the singer Lya.

After 2006 Spain withdrew from the contest, and did not come back until 2019, where Melani Garcia finished 3rd with her song Marte.
